I am a huge fan of Bob Dylan. Too bad the Bob Dylan who performed at the KRC on Saturday was a poor imitation of the singer/songwriter who thrilled us and moved us in the 1960s, '70s & '80s.

The real Bob Dylan reached his fans with melody and poetry. Not just thumping baselines and stacatto throat sounds. Who would have thought it possible that Bob Dylan could lose his voice!

But even an over-the-hill Bob Dylan deserves respect. So I will pay tribute to Bob by buying CDs of his music to go along with my vinyl collection. I won't be going to any more of his "concerts". Don't think twice, it's alright.

Brad if these big shots that manage these car companies would stand up to the caw union and say enough is anough we would be able to buy thier cars.Just imagin making 30+ dollars an hour and all the benifits and payouts thier employees make.My 50 years of working the most i ever made was 16 bucks an hour and that was the last 3 years i worked. Now at 75 years and paying for a old house that we restored and raising 4 kids, if the prices of keeping our home continue to rise [taxes, hydro, heating, repairs]we may have to cut back on things like eating, and clothes.

Imagine this the Big Car makers are crying for Government help as they are running outta Money? Can't imagine why' they have the price of cars so high most of the people cannot afford to buy them or in alot of cases they Refuse to pay these Inflated prices. They won't even give you a break on extra's when you want to purchase a vehicle. Personally I'd rather buy cars that are Demonstrator models or even a few years old as they are much more affordable then new. These car companys need to reduce their prices by huge amounts to get people to buy them.

Another stock market and recession sham.
People of influence all over the world, crafty, who think that they own the world, decided to create an artificial financial crisis. They had a group of worthless heralds in the mass media who kept on telling us since six months ago, their little stanza: “recession will come”. The economy was doing fine, everyone was working hard, and if some problems may have occurred, we should have witnessed some mild inflation…strong inflation…and then recession. But these people were impatient and just put everything in high gear to see their plans succeed. If you look at the objective data they present, nothing is clear- but one thing is evident: the people of influence in all countries, including our own PM, played a game of financial crisis on all of us.
Again, the hard working class has lost billions (playing the market) to these scum bags.

Perhaps I was wrong
I think Harper read the book of "Wisdom"
LQQK at his promises:

RICHMOND, B.C. posted Oct.9.

— Canada’s banks are the strongest in the world and need no help from the federal government — nor should they expect any, Prime Minister Stephen Harper says.

A new report by the World Economic Forum describes Canada’s banking system as the world’s strongest, Harper said Thursday as he unequivocally ruled out any form of bailout package.

‘There is no question, no possibility of bailing out the banks,” Harper said during a campaign event in Richmond, B.C.

‘The banks aren’t seeking to be bailed out, the government won’t be bailing them out. That isn’t going to happen.”

BRANTFORD, Ont. — posted Oct.10.

The government’s $25-billion plan to buy mortgages from banks isn’t a U.S.-style bailout and will cost nothing to taxpayers, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Friday.

In fact, the government could actually turn a profit on the deal, he said.

“This is not a bailout of banks,” Mr. Harper told reporters here Friday after the Department of Finance announced it would buy up to $25-billion in government-backed mortgages from commercial banks. The government will issue debt to finance the move and swap government securities for the mortgages, with the option of selling the mortgages back into the market at a later date.

LOOKS like the wise one is going to buy mortgages from banks... obvioulsy mortgages from people who have lost their jobs to China
We are in good hands...not to worry

I am aware that a number of people place an amount of importance in the Canadian elections, even as dull and boring as they are in comparrison to the American elections, but is it necessary to block every Canadian station
with this drivel.
All anyone who cares has to do is turn on the main cbc network to watch another minority government take place.Even the local cable channel was taken up with this crap....
Thank GOD FOR OUR American stations

Well I wouldn't Vote for Harper or Dion and we all know where Harper will take the money from that he needs to cut taxes, as always it'll come from Programs for the Poor or Minoritys or Aboriginal's It will not come from the Rich supporters of the Harper Reform/PC party.

I cannot help but feel immense frustration at the many articles that have been published that are so anti-Harper! I am not oblivious to the fact that the last week of the election will be focused on slamming Stephen Harper and extolling the praises of Stephane Dion. It would not be difficult to give a little credit to the way the Conservatives have tried to calm the pandemic occurring through out Canada!

What I cannot understand it how the media can support Stephane Dion despite all his inconsistencies and waffling back and forth! Throughout the past two and a half years the Liberals have been led by a man who is used as a pawn by his own party. He will say anything to get elected.
Has the media conveniently forgotten that behind the entire Liberal Platform is the Mother of all Carbon Taxes?
Harper lowered the GST and Dion just wants to return the revenue to Ottawa. He will milk Canada, in these tough economic times, from all their money! The Carbon Tax will effectively extinguish any life from the Canadian economy.
I'm sure that the Globe and Mail is aware of these concerns. But why do you seem to throw your support behind this party?

Stephen Harper has not panicked through out this campaign. He has been consistent; he has promised within his budget. Unlike Layton who is willing to throw billions of dollars around without clarifying where the money is coming from!
If economic hard times come Stephen Harper will be the strongest and most effective leader to guide us through. There are slim pickings during this campaign and Dion and Layton are panicking to succeed.

Just today Jim Flaherty released the following statement: "Today, on the 7th of October, exactly one week before voting day, Stéphane Dion is musing aloud about new economic policies; policies that were not in the Liberal platform; policies that were not in his 30-day plan to come up with a plan; policies that he could not explain; policies that he could not cost – just like he did when he proposed sweeping carbon tariffs.”
Does the Globe and Mail consider writing anything that is not so centre-left? Is there any "real" reporting down to tell us what the Conservatives are saying about the economic issues. When I read an article I want to read both sides of an issue. I am not reading to find out the Liberal or NDP response to the Conservatives' actions. Please give us some accurate reporting, based on the facts. Biased newspapers are sickening.
The Media has completely turned the election around to force the people of Canada to take the Media's point of view. This is brainwashing . . . it is morally wrong.
Give us the option to form our own opinions based on fair and factual articles.
Don't tell me what to think.
I think that it is embarrassing that a news company that is so passionately Canadian should betray the Canadian people into choosing a leader that will bring further devastation to our economy.
Let's stand up for Canada. Bring us a leader that has been consistent, strong and will lead us through the forthcoming recession. The power lies with in your hands.

David Twigg's Comments on Harper's Regime of the Reformers is Dead on the Money! This government is only worried about their Rich Friends and Oil Companies and they need to be Ousted in the Election just as Harpers Hero Bush will be gone so should Harper be gone. NDP does it for Me!
