“Nolan has high character and a high compete level,” Frontenacs general manager Kory Cooper said in a news release. “He is a player that can play many different roles because of how strong his 200-foot game is. He is a great team player. Nolan possesses all the qualities that we look for in a player joining our organization.”
Buttar joins the Frontenacs from the Peterborough Petes U16 AAA program. During the 2023-24 season, he scored 16 goals and 24 assists for 40 points in 35 regular season games. He added four goals and nine assists in 13 playoff games.
“I’m excited to represent the Frontenacs,” Buttar said in the release. “It’s such an honour and a privilege. I can’t wait to interact with the fans and the players and learn from the coaches. It’s going to be exciting.”
Buttar participated in Kingston Frontenacs Development Camp on May 3 to 5 and will return for training camp in late August.
